Sarah Alexander’s work is highly detailed, layered, and fluid. She works with multiple materials and media, with a focus on drawing and painting. Alexander creates in a stream of consciousness, and the resulting depictions appear to defy gravity.

Sarah Alexander is a contemporary mixed-media artist who emphasizes watercolor and drawing on unconventional surfaces and with unconventional techniques. Recently, she has been working with steel. She works on her artwork in her Hopedale studio and at her family's steel shop, Norfolk Iron Works Inc. She is a Core Artist Member at Fountain Street Gallery in Boston, MA. Her work is in private collections and has been shown extensively throughout New England and abroad. Her work has been published by North Light Books in Incite the Best of Mixed Media Incite 1, 2, and 3.
