During the Covid 19 pandemic, Sarah created a series of drawings that are decorative shrines of longing for people who she loved and missed. Blueberries for my daughter, Asters, Morning Glories, spiky seed pods, all captured on paper with watercolor, ink. She researched the hidden meaning of plants and flowers and used her untamed overgrown garden to find inspiration. In Late to the Party, Sarah created a wonky fantastical neoclassical design of blueberries. asters, and Sweetgum seedpods to symbolize feeling stuck (the pods also resembled the virus). As an avid gardener, Sarah likes to incorporate native plants as much as possible. Much of her life is centered around being out in nature, and immersed ointment my garden.
